Mary (Brown) Jacot

Jacot_MaryMary (Brown) Jacot went peacefully to be with her Lord, Friday, July 25, 2014, at the age of 100. She was born July 20, 1914 in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, to Henry and Elizabeth (Fettler) Brown.

When she was a small child, Mary and her parents moved to Medina, where she lived the rest of her life. On June 16, 1934, she married Charles Jacot who predeceased her in 1974. Mary worked at H.W. Madison and the Medina Senior High School cafeteria. She was also very active at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Medina, where she was a devoted member for more than 80 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles Jacot; her sister, Elizabeth Schilling; and her brother, Stephan Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Marian (Jacot) Bryenton (Ron); her granddaughters, Lynn Bryenton (Keith Fedor) and Cathy Bryenton-Stupar (Jon); and her great-grandchildren. Collin Fedor, Sydney Fedor, and Roman Bryenton.

Services will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 N. Broadway St. in Medina, Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. Mary’s family will receive friends at St. Matthew from 9 until 10:30 A.M., prior to the service. A private family burial will be held following the service at Apple Creek Cemetery, Apple Creek, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Medina, 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina (www.hospiceofmedina.org) or St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 N. Broadway, Medina.
