‘Bee Informed’ monthly newsletter to be digitally distributed

MEDINA — “Bee Informed,” Medina Schools’ monthly newsletter, is going digital.

The 30-year-old newsletter, which was delivered with The Gazette as well as being posted on the district’s website, is switching to an e-edition published by the district’s OneCall Now system, a communications system the district uses for its website, www.medinabees.org.

Amy Busby, recently appointed community relations coordinator, said the e-edition will save the district approximately $25,000 per year.

She said the e-edition will reach about 10,000 people including parents, students, alumni and community members. The first one will be published online the second week of September.

Busby said some printed versions will be available in “prominent places” around Medina like senior centers and the library.

“This is really just an effort to continue something that’s been great for the schools and the community,” Busby said.

The final print edition will be Aug. 16.
