Mary C. DeLuca, 66, of Medina, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born January 12, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Catherine (Szolek) Czekaj.
Mary was a kindergarten aid at St. Francis Catholic School for 10 years. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, Eucharistic Minister and faithful member at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Mary is the beloved wife of Jack, to whom she was married 46 years; loving mother of Scott (fiancee Kim Woods) DeLuca of Massillon, Anthony (Amanda) DeLuca of Medina and Michael (Jennifer) DeLuca of Medina; devoted grandmother of Jack, Max, Breanna, Emma, Mason, Alexa, Morgan and Jacob; dear sister of Ted (Esther) Czekaj, Donald (Sarah) Czekaj, Sr., Regina Spinella, Elizabeth Kapelewski, Eileen (Joe) Smith, Joanne (Dick) Zahrobsky and Nancy (Barry) White; and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Patty; brother-in-laws, Ed Kapelewski, Babe Santarel, and Donald Spinella.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 18, 11 A.M., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina. Father Tony Sejba will officiate. Family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 1 until 4 and 6 until 9 P.M., at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
