ary Lou Letzelter, 75, of Homerville, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at her home. She was born in Cleveland on February 26, 1939, to George Leo and Thelma Rose (DeMooy) Tager and was a 1957 graduate of West Tech High School.
She had resided in Parma until moving to Medina County in 1969 and for the past 25 years had resided in Homerville. She married her husband Walter in 1957.
Mary Lou was a loving mother and homemaker. She had enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and had won numerous county fair awards. She was member of the Canaan Lutheran Church.
Surviving are eight children, Daniel M. Letzelter of Cleveland, Susan M. Flickinger of Litchfield, Richard M. (Sherry) Letzelter of Lodi, James M. Letzelter of Lodi, Wendy M. (Doug) Kennedy of Middletown, Ohio, Christopher M. (Kathy) Letzelter of Burbank, Ohio, Pamela M. Lawrence of Westfield Center, Brenda M. (Steve) Kemp of Brunswick; grandchildren, Samantha (Greg) Nale, Damon (Laine) Lawrence, Cody Lawrence, Richard, Justin, Kyle, Kaitlyn and Jami Letzelter, Karli (John) DeMell, Taylor Back, Heather (Peyton) Hentosz, Stephen Slater, Colton, Ashton, Draigon and Blaize Kemp; great-grandchildren, Kourtni and Khloe DeMell and Madison Lawrence; sister, Marge (Allen) Turek of Strongsville; and her beloved companion, John Letzelter of Homerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; daughter, Rachel Clodwick; and sister, Mable Monk.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Burial will be in Brooklyn Hts., Cemetery. Pastor Paul Thomes will officiate. Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the service (11 A.M. to 12 Noon) and also 5 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
